We were driving home from school and Jacey saw a truck being towed that he thought was cool. He kept staring at it till it was out of sight. He asked me if I could see it still, to which I answered no. He said, "I can. I can zoom in with my eyes."
We were running late on Sunday morning and I had been rushing everyone to hurry because I didn't want to get there late. Jacey said the family prayer and in it he said, "Please bless that we can get to church in 10 seconds." Jeffrey was staying home sick and in the same prayer, he also asked, "Please bless Jaclyn to not get sick, cause she accidentally got in Daddy's face." He's so aware of everyone's needs.
This next one is not funny, but very sweet and actually kind of sad. Jacey was saying morning prayer another day before Jeffrey left for work. This is what he said. "Please bless that Daddy won't get in a car accident. And if he does get in a car accident, please bless that he won't die." I couldn't have said it better myself!!
Jaclyn was sitting on the couch with her arms hovering about a foot off the seat. I asked her what she was doing. She said, "I'm trying to fly. But it's not working. I think I need special powers."
Jaclyn was saying family prayer and at the end of it, she threw in, "please bless that we can be in Hawaii and be mermaids."
We were reading from the Book of Mormon about when Jesus came to the Nephites and was healing the sick. I told the kids about different types of illnesses that Jesus healed. Jacey asked what it was called when people's skin would fall off. I said it was leprecy. He said, "That happens to me sometimes."

Jaclyn told me that she had to go the bathroom. I said "Oh good girl, let's go!" She then knelt down on her heel and said, "Actually, no. If I put my shoe on my bum, then I don't have to go anymore."
Jacey and I were sitting on the couch together playing a game. Behind us on the sofa table is our hamster, Juno. Whenever it's time to change her cage, you can get wafts of dirty hamster cage smell from time to time. While we were there, a very strong smell drifted by us. The smell absolutely revolts me. Jacey's response to it, was, "Mmmm, something smells yummy...like meat."
I was helping Jaclyn get dressed up for her first dance class and she tooted. Like always, she announced, "I tooted!!" with a big grin on her face. I told her that she needed to just say "excuse me" instead of announcing it. She asked me what she should do if she tooted in dance class. I said, "say excuse me." And she said, in her most low, growly, angry, mean, sassy voice, "And then I will say, DON'T LAUGH BALLET KIDS!!!!" Don't get on Jaclyn's bad side ballet kids!
Jacey and Jaclyn were sitting at the table eating breakfast together and Jeffrey and I overheard this conversation. Jaclyn said, "Ewww, what's that smell?!?!" Jacey replied, "I tooted." Jaclyn said excitedly, "I tooted!" Jacey explained, "It's 'cause we tooted at the same time."
Jacey was talking about his favorite color being blue, and he said, "Thomas' favorite color is blue too. You want to know how I know? One time I made him look at my blue shirt, and he smiled." It must be true!

Jacey called Jeffrey's cell phone while he was at work. He got his voice mail, which says,
Hi you've reached Jeff Palmer. Sorry I missed your call. Please leave me a message and I'll call you back. Thanks." So Jacey did leave a message, then hung up. He was sitting there staring at the phone grouchily so I asked him what was the matter. He said, "His message said he'd call me back, but it was wrong. He's not!"
Jaclyn has been declaring her hatred for any and every body at the littlest of things lately. It's so annoying and we constantly have to put her in time out because of how often she tells people she hates them. Anyway, the other night after the umpteenth time of me telling Jaclyn to turn her game off to go brush her teeth, I went and turned it off myself. As I was walking away, in her little defiant voice she said, "I'm NOT loving you. I HATE..." and as I turned around and gave her 'the look', she finished with, "somebody's name." Hey, it's an improvement. :)
Elizabeth was over for lunch today and she was talking to Jaclyn and Laila about being Sunbeams at church now. She asked Jaclyn, "What's your teacher's name?" Jaclyn replied, "Jesus."
Jaclyn later asked Elizabeth, "Why do you have hair?" Lizzie replied, "I don't know." Jaclyn said, "I think it's 'cause you need hair." Hm..makes sense.
